Alpinestars SM5 motocross helmet is designed to offer excellent safety protection for motocross and off-road riders and excellent comfort. It is constructed from a high-density multi-composite shell that disperses energy on impacts. The ERS (Ejection System) interior removal system reduces pressure on the helmet for easy removal in the event of a crash.

Emergency release system and removable cheek pads allow for safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while 3D contoured foam ensures rider comfort. Removable comfort liner with Silverplus treated antibacterial fabrics for excellent moisture wicking, effectively wicking sweat away from the skin. The antimicrobial liner is removable and washable. Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet's cheek pads for convenience and performance.

The soft fabric chin strap is 26mm and wider than certification requirements for optimum rider safety and comfort. Stainless steel D-rings ensure a snug and secure fit.

A size Medium weighs 1260g (ECE) 1370g (DOT), the lightweight outer shell is constructed from technologically advanced impact resistant thermoplastic in two sizes.

The internal and external surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of oblique impacts and the patented visor release system ensures that the visor is released with the correct amount of predetermined force, regardless of the angle of impact. The pair of side shells with soft EPS foam prevents damage to the collarbone in the event of a crash.
